About The program

The Pre-Academy Phase 1 – 2 Programs (PAP) is the intake and building foundation phase of Peace Arch FC Soccer Academy. This program is designed on the Player Pathway Development model and focuses on the fundamentals. At this age, players are learning to move, learn to love the game and are curious to share what they’ve learned.

Description

We provide physical activities to help develop physical understanding, fun soccer participation with other players with touches on the ball (basic soccer skills). This program emphasizes no line drills to teach the players how to properly manipulate the ball through specialist design skill and techniques development methods.  We start with the basics of soccer with a gradual emphasis on 100% involvement by a lot of touches on the ball and fun activities in small group sessions in a safe, nurturing and enjoyable learning environment.

Requirements
  • Approximate location for U6-U10 Richmond, BC

  • The program starts from September 2024 to February 2025

Backed by research from top European clubs, we teach fundamental ball-mastery skills to every player. This means that every player has a ball at their feet for the majority of our sessions. This allows them to maximize their time mastering their dribbling, technique and ball control. These skills form the foundation of a player’s development.

Certainly! Here in our academy we are open to boys and girls of all ages and ability levels. The more the merrier. For our pre-academy program, boys and girls train together, in other programs separately

Normally, soccer academies start with as young as 6 years old. However, it depends. Several parents believe that the best age to join an academy is 13. You can always become a professional player regardless of what people tell you. For the youngest football players in our academy there is a special Pre-Academy program.

It is vitally important to stay hydrated during exercise, we will NOT provide water bottles for hygiene reasons, so please bring along your own bottle of water.

To maximize enjoyment, learning and progress, the pre-academic program session for students will last 60 minutes, all other age groups will last longer.

All participants are required to wear suitable training clothing. For the Pre-academy program, we provide a training T-shirt in the size the child needs. Proper footwear is important, groups will be outside, either on grass or artificial turf where boots should be worn. In cold and/or rainy weather, you will need to dress your child accordingly. We provide all other equipment ourselves

For the pre-academy program, we recommend that parents/guardians remain and supervise during the entire training session.

Yes, you can pay the cost of the program in full, and you can pay monthly via direct deposit
